Description:

A Software Company, one of the largest national A Software Company providers, is currently seeking a licensed and barred associate attorney in New York City, with mid to senior-level experience, for immediate openings. Our client prides itself on a proactive, business-oriented approach to servicing their clients.

Qualified candidates will take depositions and assist with litigation matters in their New York City office. The ideal candidate will have the following experience: Litigation, taking/defending depositions, research, writing, and document review. Writing sample will be required. This assignment may provide the opportunity to engage in other more substantive work and lead to future opportunities.

Project Details:

Location: Must reside in the New York City area
Work Environment: Remote, with in-court appearances as needed
Anticipated Start Date: Spring 2024
Duration: Long Term
Pay rate: $45 Per Hour

Qualifications:

Must be barred in New York State
Must be admitted in Federal Court
Being a member of the bar for the SDNY or EDNY or be eligible for admission by reciprocity, is preferred but not required
3+ years document review experience
Prior courtroom experience is preferred and should be highlighted on your resume.
Substantive legal experience negotiating settlements should be highlighted on your resume.
Experience taking and defending depositions as the first chair.
Strong research and writing skills, candidates must submit a writing sample
Must be able to commit to 40 hours per week for the duration of the assignment.
Strong attention to detail and capability to prioritize tasks.
Critical thinking skills and ability to retain complex work direction.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
