The Role:
A World Leader in Orthopedics, Rheumatology and Rehabilitation Company would like to recruit an Assistant General Counsel. Reporting to the Chief Legal Officer and Associate General Counsel, this person will serve as a key member of the hospital's Legal Department, supporting many areas of hospital operations. The Assistant General Counsel will handle physician employment agreements, research employment agreements, and medical services agreements. The Assistant General Counsel will provide support on medical staff issues (including medical staff bylaws and credentialing and professional conduct matters. The Assistant General Counsel will support various other hospital Departments through review of agreements, policy development and review and workgroup participation. The Assistant General Counsel will also support other members of the HSS Legal team on matters involving the HSS Research Institute and the HSS Education Institute.

Qualifications:
Candidate Profile:
The ideal candidate will be an accomplished, dedicated attorney with at least three (3) years of experience. This individual may either be in private practice with a sophisticated national and international transactional practice or have started in private practice with a well-regarded law firm in such a practice but has since moved in-house with a health care organization.

The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent communication skills as well as exceptional presence and judgment.
