Kramer & Zitser, LLP is a boutique family law firm focused on high-net-worth and complex financial matters. We are seeking an experienced Family Law Attorney to join our team on a remote basis (with in-person court appearances as needed in Los Angeles and surrounding counties).About the role:
The attorney will handle a sophisticated family law caseload, including dissolution of marriage and parentage actions, child custody, child and spousal support, complex property division, domestic violence matters, and post-judgment issues. You will be responsible for managing cases from intake through resolution, including preparing pleadings, discovery, motion practice, mediation, and trial.
Qualifications:
- Admitted to practice law in the State of California
- Minimum 5 years of dedicated family law experience (high-net-worth / complex cases strongly preferred)
- Strong command of California family law, local rules, and local LASC court procedures
- Proven experience with:
- Proven experience with complex property division (businesses, real estate portfolios, equity compensation, retirement assets, etc.)
- Proven experience with support analysis, including preparing X-spouse reports and guiding forensic accountants and other experts as required
- Domestic violence / DVRO matters
- Excellent litigation, legal research, and high-level writing skills (motions, trial briefs, settlement proposals)
- Confident in court (in-person and remote) and in mediation/settlement settings
- Exceptional communication skills with clients, counsel, experts, and the court
- Highly organized, able to manage multiple cases and deadlines in a fast-moving practice
- Comfortable working independently in a remote environment, while collaborating closely with a team
