Overview:Bliss Law Firm is excited to welcome a compassionate, motivated, and detail-oriented Associate Family Law Attorney to join our growing team. In this role, you'll work closely with our attorneys and support staff to deliver high-quality legal services while continuing to grow your skills in a supportive and encouraging environment.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thoughtful and thorough legal research using tools such as LexisNexis and Westlaw to support case strategy and preparation.
- Draft clear, well-reasoned legal documents, including pleadings, motions, agreements, and other filings in compliance with Washington State Family Law standards.
- Represent and advocate for clients in negotiations and litigation, always with professionalism and care.
- Provide sound legal guidance on family law matters, helping clients feel informed and supported throughout the process.
- Collaborate with senior attorneys on complex matters while confidently managing your own caseload.
- Maintain organized and accurate case files and documentation.
- Stay current on changes in laws and regulations that impact our clients.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
- Active membership in good standing with the state bar (Rule 9 applicants welcome).
- Knowledge of family law, estate planning, litigation, or related practice areas.
- Strong negotiation and advocacy skills.
- Excellent writing and legal drafting abilities.
- Familiarity with LexisNexis, Westlaw, or similar research tools is preferred.
- Prior experience in a law office setting is a plus.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple matters efficiently.
