Job Overview:Escobar Law PLLC is growing, and we are looking for a family law attorney to grow with us. Escobar Law represents clients in Personal Injury and Family Law. This is a full-time position; plus quarterly performance bonuses, billable hour incentives, and generous paid time off and company holidays. The ideal candidate will resolve legal disputes on behalf of clients by developing agreements, negotiating, and advocating for clients in court. This individual will build client relationships and provide an excellent customer experience for clients.
Responsibilities:
- Provide legal support to clients and assist lead attorney.
- Provide legal advice and representation to clients on family law matters such as divorce, child custody, child support, modifications, alimony, adoption and prenuptial agreements.
- Prepare legal documents including pleadings, orders and motions.
- Represent clients in court proceedings and negotiate settlements.
- Analyze and research legal issues and develop legal strategies.
- Maintain client relationships
- Stay current on changes in family law and relevant case law.
- Maintain client files and records.
- Offer guidance and support to clients throughout the legal process.
- Handle a caseload of family law matters independently, ensuring the highest standards of legal representation for our clients.
- Conduct legal research, prepare legal documents, and represent clients in court proceedings, including hearings, mediation and trials.
- Collaborate with clients to develop effective legal strategies and provide sound legal advice and counsel.
- Uphold the ethical standards and guidelines of the State Bar of Texas, promoting a professional and respectful work environment.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctorate degree from an ABA accredited law school.
- Fluent in Spanish or conversational.
- Admitted to practice law in the State of Texas.
- Entry level or 2 years experience practicing family law.
- Some knowledge of family law and legal process.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent research and writing.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Pay: $85,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
