  • Active member in good standing with the State Bar of California
  • 2–10 years of recent experience in employment law
  • Demonstrated success in helping to build and manage client relationships and deliverables
  • Skillful analysis and synthesis of diverse subject matter
  • Superior drafting, writing, research, verbal and written communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong work ethic that thrives in both independent and collaborative, fast-paced environments

Experience with:

  • Providing legal advice and counsel to clients on all aspects of employment law, including hiring, termination, disciplinary action, workplace accommodations, wage and hour compliance, discrimination, harassment, and labor relations.
  • Providing strategic counseling to employers on employment policies and litigation avoidance.
  • Drafting employment-related policies and agreements compliant with current laws and reflecting organization strategy.
  • Conducting exposure analyses and audits related to wage and hour compliance.
  • Conducting workplace investigations and providing strategic guidance on employment claims and sensitive personnel issues.
  • Analyzing and interpreting federal, state, and local employment laws, and translating them into practical, proactive legal advice.
  • Defending against employee administrative claims and litigation matters, including discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage and hour, reasonable accommodation.
  • Experience in wage/hour class actions and PAGA actions is a plus.
  • Experience in labor law/labor unions is a plus.

Salary range $135,000 - $182,000 per year

Supplemental pay types:
Structured bonus pay based on achievable benchmarks
