Kirkland & Ellis LLP is seeking a talented associate to join the firm's eDiscovery team. The ideal candidate will have four to six years of substantive litigation experience, including researching and drafting legal memoranda and motions, managing written discovery, taking and defending depositions, and supporting complex case strategy in sophisticated commercial litigation, products liability matters, antitrust disputes, and/or internal or government investigations. This role is ideal for a strong litigator interested in developing a specialization in modern eDiscovery and information governance issues. Prior deep eDiscovery experience is not required; however, candidates should demonstrate intellectual curiosity, strong organizational and project-management skills, sound litigation judgment, and an interest in learning the strategic and technical aspects of preservation, collection, review, and production. Candidates must possess outstanding research and analytical skills, excellent written and verbal communication abilities, and strong academic credentials. The successful candidate will be comfortable managing multiple workstreams, engaging directly with clients, coordinating with case teams and vendors, and working effectively with senior attorneys in high-stakes matters. The candidate may sit in any U.S. Kirkland office.Kirkland & Ellis LLP offers a competitive salary structure as well as a robust offering of benefits to all of its employees and attorneys. Compensation is based upon the roles and responsibilities of the position, the experience and education of the applicant and/or employee and is aligned with internal pay equity within Kirkland & Ellis LLP itself. The hiring salary range for this position is between $310,000 and $390,000. These figures are not representative of the full compensation range for this position.
