Jones Day is seeking a Staff Attorney with 4–6 years of experience to join our Business Restructuring and Reorganization practice group. This is a firmwide, non partner track position that plays a critical role in supporting the Firm's bankruptcy and restructuring representations across all offices. The Staff Attorney will work with the Firm's internal new matters department to coordinate, manage, and prepare required court disclosures in connection with bankruptcy matters, including the Firm's retention as counsel to debtors or official committees, and in special counsel engagements.The position also involves supporting legal research and writing initiatives, including practice focused publications addressing bankruptcy, restructuring, distressed mergers and acquisitions, and related issues. Qualified candidates will have experience supporting Chapter 11 proceedings, out of court restructurings, and distressed acquisitions, with a focus on company-side engagements. Also required are strong writing, organizational, and time management skills; and the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Candidates must be members in good standing of the Ohio Bar. The salary range for this role is $180,000 - $220,000. Actual salary will be commensurate with the candidate's qualifications and relevant experience.
