The Chicago office of Reed Smith is seeking a senior-level associate to join the Emerging Technologies practice of our Entertainment & Media Group. Candidates should have 6+ years of experience in emerging technologies, data privacy, and/or advertising and marketing, including specific experience in privacy and product compliance and counseling, tech transactions, data transactions, contract drafting and negotiation, AdTech, digital media and advertising transactions, and data breach counseling and transactions. Candidates must be an active member of the Illinois state bar.Strong candidates will also have experience with the following: developing internal data protection programs, conducting privacy assessments and building out data maps, performing data protection impact assessments, drafting privacy policies, negotiating data processing agreements, managing data incident response, and advising on cutting-edge or high-risk privacy issues, like AI, AdTech, health data, biometric data, and/or kids and teen data. Technical Knowledge: familiarity with digital advertising technology and AI-related legal and regulatory matters.

$325,000 - $435,000. This represents the presently-anticipated low and high end of Reed Smith's pay range for this position. Actual pay may vary based on various factors, including but not limited to location and experience.
