Overview:
The Director, Assistant General Counsel works across the Novant Health System to oversee the preparation of legal documents. This role will align strategy with the overall goals of the organization.

Job Relationships: Reports to and receives assignments from the VP, Assistant General Counsel. Works closely with growth and transactional leaders with a focus on expanding Novant Health and its related entities' offerings.

Qualifications:
  • Education: Juris Doctorate from an ABA-accredited law school, required.
  • Experience: Seven or more years of healthcare regulatory and transactional law experience, including complex healthcare transactions, required.
  • Licensure/Certification: Active license to practice law, in good standing with jurisdiction in which licensed, required.

Ability to distill complex topics into crisp and concise narratives that can be consumed by audiences with varying degrees of familiarity with the subject matter.

    • Deep experience with Stark, the Antic-kickback statute and applicable antitrust regulations.
