We are seeking a highly qualified mid-level associate with privacy expertise (class of 2022-2023). Candidate must have extensive experience in providing sophisticated privacy counseling to companies in tech, life sciences and emerging technologies, including AI. Candidate must have experience drafting privacy and data governance agreements and policies, data processing addenda and complex technology transactions. Candidates must be able to demonstrate knowledge across federal and state privacy and AI laws and regulations, including the FTC Act, COPPA, GLBA, FERPA, CCPA (and similar state laws), WMHMDA, BIPA and emerging AI regulations. The candidate should also have experience in conducting privacy due diligence for and negotiating transaction agreements in privacy equity investments, mergers and acquisitions and other corporate transactions. Experience in privacy or AI regulatory inquiries or investigations is a plus. In addition to strong substantive skills, we're looking for a collaborative team player who enjoys working in-office in a fast paced, high-performance, collegial law firm environment.
