What does the position entail ?
This position supports the organization 's critical business functions by providing legal guidance and expertise . You will play a key role in providing legal counsel to multiple subsidiaries in areas of significant impact on the business , including general business transactions , labor and employment matters , and corporate strategy development . You will assist in maintaining oversight in high - impact legal areas , participate in corporate policy and compliance matters , and provide risk management assessments and recommendations to advance business objectives .​ ​

What tasks will you perform ?
  • Draft the necessary legal documents and develop conclusions and recommendations .​
  • Assisting clients in situations of legal exposure or risk ; understanding the general tolerance for business risk and considering it in the context of risk management strategies and actions .​
  • Create practical , creative , and effective solutions to legal problems .
  • Lead negotiations when necessary . Understand the internal client 's position and needs . Consider the long - term business and strategic consequences of potential outcomes .​
  • Communicate difficult messages or news ; challenge the customer when necessary ; respond to customer challenges by advising directly and effectively .​​
  • Establish a broad network of relationships ; generate empathy with colleagues at all levels within the Legal Advisory department and with the internal client .

What do we expect from you ?
Mandatory requirements:
  • Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school . Must maintain an active license to practice in an applicable state .
  • 3 to 5 years of experience with knowledge in labor and employment law , corporate law and complex legal practices and procedures .
  • Bilingual in Spanish .
  • Availability to travel : less than 10%.

Desirable requirements:
  • Litigation skills , regulatory compliance experience , or experience as an internal / corporate advisor .​
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication , negotiation , and analytical skills .
  • Ability to work and make informed decisions independently and on your own initiative .
  • Demonstrate confidence when working with others .
  • Ability to collaborate closely with a wide range of personnel, including frequent interactions with senior executives , and to collaborate internally, across companies and externally .
  • Ability to influence , lead and coordinate projects and/or cases that may cross functional or business lines .
