Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Corporate Business Attorney to serve as a strategic legal partner to the organization, providing practical, business-focused legal guidance across a large, multi-entity, franchise-driven portfolio. This role supports corporate leadership and field operations by advising on commercial matters, risk mitigation, regulatory compliance, and contract management. The ideal candidate balances legal rigor with operational pragmatism and thrives in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment. Experience with franchise, mergers and acquisitions, or transactional law is highly valuable. Confidence, adaptability, and the ability to take on new assignments independently are key to success in this role.

Responsibilities:
As a Corporate Business Attorney, you will provide legal counsel across a wide range of corporate and operational matters, including contract negotiation, drafting corporate documents and filings, corporate formation in Texas and other states, franchise-related issues, vendor agreements, commercial transactions, and general corporate governance. You will partner closely with Operations, HR, Finance, Real Estate, Marketing, IT, and Supply Chain to assess risk, ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations, and support sound business decisions. This role will help develop, interpret, and enforce company policies, manage legal risk across multiple entities and jurisdictions, and support internal stakeholders with timely, practical legal guidance. You may also assist with dispute management, regulatory inquiries, and coordination with external counsel as needed.

Requirements:
  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited U.S. law school
  • Active license and good standing with at least one U.S. state bar
  • 5+ years of legal experience practicing business, corporate, or transactional law
  • Experience supporting multi-entity organizations, franchising, hospitality, or retail environments strongly preferred
  • Tax experience a plus
  • Strong contract drafting, negotiation, and issue-spotting skills
  • Ability to translate legal concepts into clear, business-oriented guidance
  • Excellent judgment, organization, and stakeholder communication skills
  • Comfort operating in a fast-paced, high-growth, operationally complex environment
