This attorney will support Amazon Web Services in China. As our Corporate Counsel, you'll be a crucial partner providing legal counsel for senior executives and other business team members on regulatory and compliance matters.

Key Job Responsibilities:
  • Provide comprehensive legal counsel to senior executives and business teams on regulatory compliance, product development, and strategic initiatives
  • Develop and implement legal strategies that support AWS's business objectives while ensuring regulatory compliance
  • Conduct thorough legal analysis of complex business scenarios, offering clear and actionable recommendations
  • Manage and mitigate legal risks associated with AWS's operations

Basic Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of legal experience
  • Juris Doctor and membership in one state bar or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in complex domestic and international business litigation, including trial experience and counseling parties and witnesses in pre-dispute and dispute resolution or equivalent context
  • Experience managing multiple projects and meeting aggressive deadlines
  • Experience in data center engineering or operations
  • Experience that includes strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities
  • Experience interpreting data and making business recommendations
  • Experience in Regulatory Law
