Description:Amazon is looking for a talented attorney to support our online store business. You will work directly with your business partners, serving as their primary legal advisor on a broad range and variety of matters.
Responsibilities include:
- Providing day-to-day legal support to business teams and developing strategies for handling legal issues in creative, efficient, and business-centric ways.
- Helping your business teams launch new features and product categories.
- Serving as lead counsel in drafting and negotiating commercial agreements.
- Resolving issues arising in existing commercial relationships, and handling pre-litigation legal disputes and inquiries.
Basic Qualifications:
- 5+ years of legal experience
- Juris Doctor and membership in one state bar or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience of a mix of corporate law firm and in-house work
- Knowledge of the ethical considerations surrounding AI in the legal context, such as confidentiality, accuracy, and bias prevention
- Experience managing multiple projects and priorities across teams in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Experience that includes strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities
- Experience in transactional work, including drafting and negotiating commercial contracts or equivalent
- Experience working cross functionally across several teams
- Experience partnering with business leaders in highly complex and dynamic business settings
