JMM seeks an exceptional corporate associate with a minimum 3 years of experience to join a team of corporate attorneys, representing middle market clients and capital providers on a variety of business transactions. Candidates should have a strong general corporate transactional background, including experience in one or more of the following areas: M&A, equity financings, joint ventures, technology transactions and “outside GC” work. Solid experience in drafting and reviewing corporate documentation is required. Excellent academic credentials, as well as strong written, interpersonal and communication skills are required. Our corporate clients include public and private companies, high net worth individuals, and family offices. They span a diverse range of industries, including consumer products, technology/media/telecom, entertainment, food and beverage, financial services and manufacturing/distribution.JMM reasonably expects to pay between $230k and $350k in annual base compensation for this position. The base compensation offered will depend upon a variety of factors, including but not limited to, the selected candidate's qualifications and years of relevant experience. Additionally, associates who meet JMM's minimum performance standards (including billing at least 1900 hours), can reasonably expect total compensation (base salary plus a discretionary bonus) ranging from $380k to $475k. The discretionary bonus may also be increased based on the number of hours billed and collected in excess of 1900 hours. Separately, the Firm credits associates with an additional bonus on work they originate.
