Description:
Abrolat Law PC, a plaintiff-side employment litigation firm, is seeking a California employment litigation attorney to provide court appearance and litigation coverage on an as-needed basis.We are looking for an attorney who is comfortable stepping into active matters, reviewing the file in advance, and independently handling assigned appearances.
Responsibilities:
- Handle case management conferences and status conferences
- Handle discovery and law-and-motion hearings
- Handle final status conferences and other pretrial proceedings
- Handle other civil and employment litigation court appearances as needed
- Review the file and relevant pleadings or orders before each appearance
- Report promptly regarding the outcome of the appearance and any required next steps
- Provide occasional deposition or other discrete litigation coverage as needed
Qualifications:
- Active member of the California Bar in good standing
- At least 3 years of California employment litigation experience
- Experience with FEHA and related California employment law
- Prior California courtroom and hearing experience
- Familiarity with California civil procedure and discovery
- Ability to review a matter and prepare independently for an appearance
- Strong oral advocacy skills
- Professional, responsive, prepared, and dependable
Non-appearance work may be performed remotely. Attorneys must be available for in-person appearances in Los Angeles and surrounding Southern California counties as needed.
