Summary:
This position is a Contract: Part-time role working 20 to 25 hrs. a week. You must be living in FL, TX or MO.

As a Contract Attorney at An Engineering Services Company , you will collaborate closely with Business Development personnel, Operations Management, technical experts, and the An Engineering Services Company Legal Department. Your primary responsibility will be to meticulously review, negotiate, and administer contractual terms and conditions, aligning with An Engineering Services Company company policies and specific business units.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Scrutinize government and commercial confidentiality agreements, RFPs, teaming agreements, proposals, contracts, change orders, and other legally binding documents.
  • Provide guidance to An Engineering Services Company personnel on contractual terms and associated risks.
  • Assist in identifying and managing risks for each project.
  • Revise contractual documents as needed, adhering to An Engineering Services Company procedures and project-specific risk evaluations.
  • Coordinate the review of contractual documents with various departments, including Legal, Risk Management, Tax, Finance, Health & Safety, Quality Assurance, Business Development, and Operations.
  • Support attorneys in reviewing and negotiating contractual documents with clients.
  • Identify and negotiate contract changes with clients during project execution.
  • Advise and train technical staff on contract administration, risk mitigation, change order management, cost and pricing, and other relevant topics.
  • Provide support in various areas, including contract review, negotiation, monitoring, close-out, indirect rate adjustments, audits, and proposal preparation.

Experience:
  • Must be licensed to practice law at least one state (ideally Florida) and a member of the relevant Bar in good standing.
  • Board Certification, or eligibility for Board Certification, in Construction Law is a plus.
  • 25+ years of experience reviewing, revising, and negotiating contract language within the EPC, Construction, and Environmental consulting services industries.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products and SharePoint.
  • Ability to collaborate with diverse customers and clients, including commercial clients, state agencies, local governmental agencies, and federal agencies.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal guidance.

Preferred Experience:
Bachelor's degree in engineering.
