McCabe | Ronsman is seeking an experienced Community Association Attorney. Our ideal candidate will have one to five years of litigation or collections experience; however, we will consider new graduates

The successful candidate will assist community association clients on a wide range of legal issues including governing document amendments, statutes, covenant, and restriction violations. They will assist in running meetings and advising clients on meeting procedure, addressing board, annual meeting controversies, and resolving neighborhood disputes. The Attorney with be fully apprised of changes to community association laws, and industry trends in order to proactively keep our clients informed through educational efforts.

Requirements:
Responsibilities:
  • Represent clients in legal proceedings, such as hearings, trials, and depositions
  • Prepare and draft legal documents, such as Declarations, Covenants, Conditions, and Restrictions (CC&Rs), Bylaws, Articles of Incorporation, Rules and Regulations, election rules and Architectural Standards
  • Conduct legal research and analysis to support governing documents
  • Advise clients on legal matters and provide guidance on potential outcomes
  • Collaborate with colleagues and senior attorneys to develop case strategies
  • Negotiate settlements and agreements on behalf of clients
  • Attend client meetings and maintain regular communication with clients

Skills:
  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
  • Admission to the state bar association
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple cases simultaneously
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Proficient in legal research tools and software
