Position Overview:We are seeking a dedicated Attorney to join our General Liability Team. This role offers the opportunity to work on a variety of civil litigation matters while developing expertise in insurance defense law.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage comprehensive case files, including conducting legal research, discovery, and factual investigations
- Review and analyze medical records and detailed medical chronologies
- Draft legal documents including memoranda, pleadings, motions, briefs, and case progress reports
- Represent clients at depositions, hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials
- Maintain accurate and contemporaneous time records for all billable activities in accordance with firm policies and client requirements
- Meet established billable hour targets while ensuring quality and efficiency in all work product
- Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel
- Collaborate with team members and support staff to ensure optimal case outcomes
- Stay current on relevant legal developments and industry trends
Required Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of civil litigation experience
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent oral and written communication abilities
- Proficiency with legal research tools and case management software
- A robust work ethic and commitment to excellence
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in insurance defense litigation
- Trial experience
- Familiarity with motor vehicle and premises liability matters
