A Regional Law Firm has an opening in any of our 10 offices for a bankruptcy attorney with 2-5 years of experience. Parsons is a regional law firm that has national expertise in numerous practice areas. The firm is at the forefront of the legal communities in Utah, Nevada, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, and the rest of the Intermountain Region.

Requirements and Qualifications:
  • 2-5 years of chapter 11 bankruptcy experience, which could include representing corporate debtors, creditors, or other parties in interest in chapter 11 cases
  • Advise clients on the different options available to them through bankruptcy
  • Help prepare and manage chapter 11 cases including motion practice, attending hearings, and preparing and confirming chapter 11 plans
  • Stay informed of developments in bankruptcy law including federal Bankruptcy Code and Rules, as applicable
  • Candidate will be working on sophisticated chapter 11 matters
  • Investigating fund assets and potential fraudulent transfer
  • Taking depositions, drafting pleadings in state and federal court including discovery, notices, forbearance and loan modification agreements, proofs of claim, objections, ballots, and other bankruptcy- or insolvency-related pleadings
  • A portable book of business is not required, but would be regarded favorably along with the desire to continue the growth of their practice
  • Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school
  • Admitted to practice in Utah or willingness to get admitted. Admissions to New York, Delaware, Nevada, California, and Arizona will also be regarded favorably
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Good judgment, responsiveness, and perseverance
  • Strong academic credentials
