The Chad T. Wilson Law Firm is seeking an Attorney in Georgia to join our team! Our firm specializes in helping policyholders obtain the results they deserve when their insurance claims have been wrongly denied or underpaid.

Overview:
The Attorney is actively involved in the litigation process from pre-suit all the way through the successful settlement and closing of the client's case. Additionally, the Attorney will provide legal advice to assigned clients, manage a docket around 100 cases, assist with negotiations of settlement while preparing for litigation on all matters and display a professionalism with clients and colleagues alike through their effective communication skills, attention to detail, dedication to each project, competence, reliability, and demeanor. Attorney will also review non-party cases in intake and provide recommendations to managers.

Schedule:
Flexible/Remote (Must be willing to travel within Georgia, travel to Houston and possibly Mississippi as needed).

Salary:
Successful candidate will be paid for the first 6 months of employment a base salary of $150k, followed by a 20% performance bonus on successfully settled cases, payable in accordance with the standard payroll practices of the Company and subject to all withholdings and deductions as required by law.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:
  • 2+ years' experience in litigation
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
  • Must be an active member in good standing with the State Bar of Georgia (Being licensed in Florida as well would be a huge plus)
  • Excellent negotiation skills with a proven track record of successful settlements
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a commitment to providing outstanding client service to a wide range of clients
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with meticulous attention to detail
  • Demonstrates commitment to professional ethics and client confidentiality

Responsibilities:
  • Successfully manage assigned cases from assignment to closing of the case (a case load of 100 or more active cases at all times)
  • Maintain a regular schedule of hearings, court appearances, and conferences based on case requirements
  • Conduct depositions, mediations, and other assorted case related procedures.
  • Review discovery documents and determine the best course of action.
  • Effectively use the firm's case management system and electronic calendar to keep case information current, notes updated and schedules current to avoid conflicts.
  • Effectively draft and/or review, proof, edit, legal documents to include but not limited to petitions, motions, orders, notices, responses, and discovery requests.
  • Be able to effectively communicate with clients on a regular basis to ensure they are updated and aware of the status of their case(s).
  • Be able to effectively communicate and work with assigned paralegal and other office staff.
  • Effectively communicate with opposing counsel as needed to keep cases active and progressing.
