Description:
We are seeking a Family Law Associate Attorney with prior litigation experience who is motivated to grow professionally while playing a meaningful role in a high-performing, growth-oriented practice. This position offers substantial client responsibility, courtroom exposure, and the opportunity to contribute to the continued expansion and success of the firm.Key Responsibilities:
- Represent clients in family law matters, including divorce, custody, support, and related proceedings
- Manage a full caseload from intake through final resolution
- Develop and implement strategic case plans tailored to each matter
- Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and legal memoranda
- Appear in court for hearings, conferences, and trials
- Negotiate settlements and manage case progression effectively
- Maintain organized case files and ensure timely movement of matters
- Provide clear, professional communication throughout the case lifecycle
- Collaborate with attorneys and staff to support workflow and operational goals
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
- Licensed and in good standing in Texas (additional jurisdictions a plus)
- 1–3 years of family law or comparable litigation experience required
- Demonstrated strong work ethic and a high level of accountability
- Ability to manage a demanding caseload with efficiency and attention to detail
- Strong oral advocacy and courtroom presence
- Excellent legal writing, research, and analytical skills
- Professional judgment and ability to perform in a fast-paced environment
- Interest in contributing to a growing, performance-driven practice
- Fluency in Spanish very desirable
