Responsibilities:
- Provide expert legal counsel in areas such as estate planning, trusts, and probate, business litigation and business transactions.
- Represent clients in litigation and negotiations to achieve favorable outcomes.
- Conduct thorough legal research using tools such as LexisNexis and Westlaw to support case strategies.
- Draft and review legal documents including contracts, pleadings, motions, and briefs.
- Maintain organized case files and ensure all documentation is accurate and up-to-date.
- Communicate effectively with clients to keep them informed about their cases and provide guidance throughout the legal process.
- Collaborate with other attorneys and staff within the law office to enhance service delivery.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the bar in the relevant jurisdiction.
- Strong knowledge of various areas of law including estate planning, trusts, probate, business litigation, and business transactions.
- Proven negotiation skills with a track record of successful outcomes.
- Excellent writing skills with experience in legal drafting.
- Strong research abilities using platforms like LexisNexis and Westlaw.
