Description:
Description:POSITION: We're looking for an attorney already familiar with the practice of estate planning who wants to connect more deeply with clients. If you are fed up with the sterility of writing wills and trusts, this position is for you. We dive into conversations about fur-babies, family heirlooms, and the logistics of navigating family illness and hospitalization.
The legal paperwork we provide is the most comprehensive, sensitively drafted, thorough set of instructions the clients have ever seen. We want them signing their plan with a smile of relief on their face – bittersweet that they will not have more meetings with YOU, who gave them special care and attention.
Responsibilities:
Case Expectations: Your job will be to meet with clients between Mon-Friday generally between 8:30 am and 5:30 pm, via Zoom or in the office. Meet our pace of about 3 new cases weekly, or 9 estate-planning meetings each week. Thankfully, working weekends or late into the evening hours is not the culture here. Our firm is dark for the last 2 weeks of December and closed over Thanksgiving break. As long as you complete your meeting quota, you may arrange your schedule to work from home one rotating half-day each week.
Additional Legal Services: If probate and trust administration interests you, we can provide that training. If you would like to learn more about family-formation law (surrogacy, adoption, sperm/egg/embryo donation), we've got you. If you have a history of litigation experience, but do not want to practice at a high volume, this is the perfect spot to take one case at a time. Last, if you have handled some family law, a small number of clients need help reviewing MSAs or executing prenups – we can put your experience to use.
Bonuses: Reap what you sow: this law firm is growing. 12 years in, the systems are honed, the community connections are established, and all that is left is to sell YOUR unique talent. Said differently, if you have wanted to get more involved in lead-generation, then you will be compensated a percentage of the new casework you bring to the firm. As revenue goals are hit, bonuses will be paid to team members. We keep the channels of communication open and transparent, so everyone can be empowered by our trajectory.
