Description:

Small employment/education/labor law firm seeks full-time Associate attorney to assist with employee-side, union-side and teacher representation. Bar passage is required. 0-5 years legal experience preferred. Associate attorney will work closely with four partners and receive mentorship and supervision. Base salary matches the State of California Attorney salary schedule; bonus schedule available. Starting salary pay range of $95,600.00 - $130,224.00 per year DOE ($10,000 annual bonus based on billable hours also available). Four weeks annual paid (vacation/sick) leave, plus we normally close the office for a week between Christmas and New Year's Day. Responsibilities:

Conduct legal research and analysis using various resources such as Lexis-Nexis and Westlaw.
Draft letters and legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and contracts.
Assist in the preparation of cases for trial, including conducting witness interviews and gathering evidence.
Negotiate settlements and agreements on behalf of clients.
Represent clients in administrative and court hearings and other legal proceedings.
Provide legal advice and guidance to clients.
Manage and prioritize multiple cases simultaneously.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date case files and documentation.
