Insurance Coverage Attorney and/or Injury Defense Litigation Attorney (0-5 years)Established mid-sized civil defense firm with a 45-year history and offices throughout California is looking for passionate and driven attorneys to work within our Insurance Coverage and Litigation practice groups.
Role Highlights
- Litigating personal injury actions, from court appearances to taking depositions and drafting motions
- Join expanding insurance law team, assisting with analyzing insurance policies, identifying coverage nuances, and collaborating on strategies to protect our clients.
- Work hands-on in active litigation, including conducting legal research, drafting discovery, motions, and summaries for insurance companies on auto, homeowners and general liability claims.
- Opportunity for mentoring by senior attorneys in advising clients on insurance coverage issues and help to resolve disputes effectively, and on proper handling of personal injury defense cases.
- Gain experience negotiating on behalf of insurers, advocating for clients, and developing proactive legal strategies in a hands-on and educational environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsibility for an active case load, developing legal defenses, and participation in discovery and depositions.
- Conduct thorough legal research and assist in analyzing insurance policies to provide actionable advice to clients.
- Support the team in drafting legal documents, including coverage opinions and motions, and discovery.
Requirements:
- JD from an accredited law school and active California bar membership
- Strong academic performance and demonstrated interest in insurance law, litigation, or related fields.
