Description:
We are seeking an Associate Attorney to handle all aspects of applicant workers' compensation litigation across Southern California. This is a great opportunity for a motivated attorney to manage cases from start to finish and gain valuable courtroom and deposition experience.Responsibilities:
- Handle all aspects of applicant workers' compensation cases, including drafting petitions, motions, and other legal documents.
- Appear at hearings and trials throughout Southern California.
- Take and defend depositions as part of the litigation process.
- Manage a caseload effectively, ensuring timely resolution and meeting litigation deadlines.
- Negotiate and settle cases for clients in accordance with their best interests.
- Collaborate with a team of experienced attorneys and support staff to provide the highest level of legal services.
Qualifications:
- California Bar Admission or awaiting bar results.
- At least 1 year of experience in workers' compensation or a related field required for hybrid/remote position.
- Ability to independently manage a caseload and handle all stages of workers' compensation litigation.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple litigation tasks.
- Exceptional oral communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced legal environment, maintaining attention to detail and client-focused service.
