Job Summary:Kutak Rock, LLP seeks an experienced real estate associate to join the Tax Credit Department in Omaha, NE. The ideal candidate will have interest in developing their knowledge and skills in complex business and real estate finance transactions with a particular emphasis on real estate matters in financings utilizing low-income housing tax credits. Responsibilities:
- Review, draft and manage transaction due diligence
- Review and negotiate real estate documents including property management agreements, ground leases, condominium documents, and easements
- Review and analyze surveys, title commitments, and zoning documentation for acquisition transactions and post-closing portfolio matters
- Coordinate and help facilitate transaction closings in a team environment
- Review UCC lien searches
- Review environmental reports
- Review organizational and authorizing documents
- Ensure that appropriate approvals are in place before transactions are executed
- Interpret laws, rulings, and regulations in relevant areas of the law
Qualifications: Skills and Abilities
- Knowledge of and/or ability to analyze applicable laws governing transactions
- Proficiency in real estate or finance transactions
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to apply critical thinking and possess a high attention to detail
- Exceptional research and analytical skills
- Self-motivated with a strong work ethic
- Ability and confidence to work independently while thriving in a collaborative, team environment
- Commitment to achieving the goals of Firm clients
Qualifications: Education and Experience
- Currently admitted to practice in Nebraska with an active bar license in good standing or able to be admitted within one year required
- 1+ years of experience in transactional matters in a law firm or corporate legal department
- Candidates with excellent academic record given preference

- Status: Exempt
- Work Arrangement: Hybrid, with supervising attorney approval, after introductory in office period
