Job Summary:
Kutak Rock, LLP seeks an experienced associate to join its Real Estate practice in Omaha, NE. The ideal candidate will have interest in developing their knowledge and skills in complex business and real estate finance transactions with a particular emphasis on taxable and tax exempt financings and financings utilizing low-income housing tax credits. Responsibilities:
  • Review, draft and manage transaction due diligence
  • Review, draft and negotiate transaction documents in both finance and real estate matters
  • Prepare loan documents, including loan agreements and security instruments
  • Review and analyze surveys and title commitments for acquisitions and lending transactions
  • Coordinate and conduct transaction closings
  • Review and prepare organizational and authorizing documents
  • Ensure that appropriate approvals are in place before transactions are executed
  • Interpret laws, rulings and regulations in relevant areas of the law

Qualifications: Skills and Abilities
  • Knowledge of and/or ability to analyze applicable laws governing transactions
  • Proficiency in real estate or finance transactions
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to apply critical thinking and possess a high attention to detail
  • Exceptional research and analytical skills

Qualifications: Education and Experience
  • Currently admitted to practice in Nebraska with an active bar license in good standing or able to be admitted within one year required
  • 1+ years of experience in transactional matters in a law firm or corporate legal department
  • Candidates with excellent academic record given preference

Work Arrangement: Hybrid, with supervising attorney approval, after introductory in office period
