About the Job:A Burlingtons Second-Oldest Law Firm, a downtown Burlington, Vermont, law firm, is seeking to hire an associate attorney to join the firm's civil litigation and workers' compensation practices. The ideal candidate will have at least 2-3 years of litigation experience, with some courtroom, administrative hearing, and/or deposition experience, and exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Otherwise promising candidates with excellent credentials and less than 2-3 years of experience will be considered as well.
The candidate must have a strong ability to assist with the drafting of legal documents, including motion and pleadings, perform legal research, assist with the discovery process, including conducting deposition and drafting discovery requests, and appear in Court and/or Administrative Hearings. The ideal candidate must be admitted to the Vermont Bar. Candidates who are scheduled for admission to the Vermont Bar in 2024 or have a genuine desire and ability to become licensed in Vermont in 2024 will also be considered.
