An American Fast Food Company's Property Management Legal Team is a team of real estate legal professionals who are responsible for An American Fast Food Company's existing portfolio of real estate at our 14,000+ U.S. restaurants, ensuring that An American Fast Food Company's is positioned to leverage its real estate interests to maximize business operations. The Reinvestment Legal Team is a specialized group within the Property Management Legal Team, focused on supporting An American Fast Food Company's efforts to remodel and rebuild existing An American Fast Food Company's restaurants. Positions on the Reinvestment Legal Team are temporary roles that are currently scheduled to expire on 12/31/2024. Potential extension beyond that date may or may not occur, and will depend upon the ongoing needs of the business, budgeting, performance, and other factors to be determined by An American Fast Food Company's.

Attorneys on the Reinvestment Legal Team are expected to:
  • Demonstrate strong analytical, organizational and communication skills to provide advice and counsel to business partners on a diverse portfolio of complex, time-sensitive commercial real estate issues.
  • Draft, negotiate, and analyze leases, easement agreements, license agreements, TCEs and other commercial real estate agreements.
  • Review and analyze title, survey, existing real estate documents and other due diligence to determine property related rights and obligations in connection with proposed large scale remodel and/or rebuild projects.
  • Review and analyze site plans, elevations, plats, declarations in conjunction with large scale remodel projects and/or rebuild projects.
  • Partner with Reinvestment COE business team to align on practical solutions to legal issues, with a focus on business objectives while mitigating legal risk, avoiding litigation, and protecting the brand.
  • Strategically engage with colleagues and business clients to anticipate future business needs, and identify existing opportunities for efficiencies.
  • Identify and counsel business regarding risks and provide guidance on risk tolerance to help drive business decisions.
  • Work collaboratively on cross-functional teams within the legal department and serve as a commercial real estate subject matter expert.

Qualifications:
  • Individual who is driven by values of inclusiveness, kindness, and professionalism and is motivated, intellectually curious, and eager to learn.
  • Licensed to practice law and in good standing with a state bar association.
  • A minimum of three years commercial real estate experience.
