A Complex Business, Securities Law and Commercial Real Estate Law Firm, a respected, well-established national firm, based in Winter Park, Florida, seeks highly qualified, talented and passionate Litigators to join its expanding practice. The firm has a broad range of commercial practice areas including complex business litigation, Intellectual Property, commercial real estate, shareholder & contract disputes, and general business matters.

Admitted, experienced attorneys with exposure to commercial litigation, with deposition, motion practice and oral argument experience are desirable candidates. All candidates should demonstrate a superior focus on high quality work product. Other important competencies include: Ability to establish and maintain relationships with new and existing clients. Above average ability to adapt to change and the motivation to learn. Drive for success in resolution of all cases, and zeal for participation in trials and handling appeals.

While not required, ideal candidates would have solid experience in trials (bench and jury) as second chair; taking/defending depositions; motion practice and mediation/arbitration.

Candidates must be able to work independently and in a team environment.

Qualifications:
  • JD from an accredited law school
  • Must be admitted to practice in Florida
  • 3-5 years of experience
  • General Commercial Litigation experience
  • Deposition and courtroom experience
  • Excellent research and writing skills
  • Superior written and oral communication skills
  • Experience with electronic discovery tools

Responsibilities:
  • Manage a litigation caseload from inception to completion either independently or under the supervision of other attorneys
  • Conduct excellent legal research and provide thoughtful written analyses of legal questions
  • Draft motions and briefs with minimal supervision
  • Work closely with other attorneys to provide recommendations for resolving legal issues
  • Communicate with clients and provide detailed reports on case status
  • Attend hearings and pretrial conferences
  • Maintain client expectations by providing professional and timely updates on cases
