A Financial Company is looking for an employment attorney with prior experience handling employment matters, executive compensation, contract negotiation, vendor management, corporate governance, and/or transactional work. This position will be responsible for advising on compliance with employment laws, reviewing and negotiating contracts, corporate governance, and providing legal support on a range of other corporate matters. A Financial Company is a collaborative working environment that is focused on profitable growth. This position may be filled at the Company's headquarters in our Jacksonville FL, Washington DC or Iselin NJ offices.
  • Advise on federal and state employment laws and corporate governance
  • Assist on a wide range of other corporate legal matters, including acquisitions and vendor management
  • Draft contracts, negotiate amendments and prepare other corporate documents

Qualifications:
  • Juris Doctorate required
  • 5-10 years of legal experience
  • State Bar Membership (any state)
  • General corporate law experience, including employment law and corporate governance
  • Knowledgeable advocate who can work effectively with business leaders and manage outside counsel
  • Experience in other corporate areas, including M&A, preferred but not required
  • Insurance or other Financial Services experience a plus but not required
