Associate Commercial Counsel will focus primarily on drafting reviewing, and negotiating contracts as both a buyer and a seller. You will work closely with departments across the company, with an emphasis on the sales team.

What you will do:
  • Draft, review and negotiate vendor, customer, sales and partner agreements and templates
  • Provide legal counsel regarding contractual rights and contract issues
  • Develop and maintain digital contract repositories
  • Work closely with other members of the legal team to ensure a smooth contracting process
  • Provide practical legal support across the company for other matters as needed
  • Work with the legal team to create, update and maintain policies, processes and procedures to increase team efficiency and compliance
  • Conduct legal research and stay up-to-date on relevant developments to the law and the industry ensure an ongoing ability to provide accurate legal advice

What you will need:
  • JD degree from an accredited law school and current member in good standing with a US state bar
  • Two to four years of reviewing, drafting and negotiating a wide variety of contracts at a law firm and/or an in-house legal team
  • Knowledge of current contract law, and related legal principles and procedures.
  • Strong understanding of business sensitivities and confidentiality
  • Outstanding organizational skills, including ability to prioritize, delegate and multi-task
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Effective interpersonal and collaboration skills
  • High degree of professional ethics, integrity and gravitas
  • Proven judgement and analytical skills
  • Ability to anticipate legal issues or risks
  • Working knowledge of Office, JIRA and contract management systems.
