The right candidate will be a team player who has the ability to problem solve and think on their feet. We are a criminal law firm practicing statewide but primarily within 1.5 hours of Polk County. Some travel required. Pay starting at $60,000.00 for new attorneys and negotiable for experienced.

Duties:
  • Conduct comprehensive legal research using tools such as LexisNexis and Westlaw to support case strategies.
  • Draft and review legal documents including motions, pleadings, and client correspondence with precision and clarity.
  • Prepare for trial by organizing evidence, developing case theories, and assisting with court depositions and trial preparation activities.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, courts, and opposing counsel to facilitate smooth case progression and uphold high standards of legal advocacy.

Requirements:
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school; admission to the state bar is required.
  • Excellent research skills utilizing LexisNexis and Westlaw platforms; ability to analyze complex legal issues swiftly.
  • Ability to handle multiple cases simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail and professionalism.
