Overview:We are seeking an associate to join our firm. The ideal candidate has 2-6 years of plaintiff-side employment litigation experience.
We are a three-attorney plaintiff-side employment litigation firm, focusing on both class action and individual wage & hour claims, as well as discrimination and retaliation claims. The associate will be responsible for continually honing their skills to be a better litigator and team player. The associate will be responsible for researching, analyzing, and drafting briefs, taking and defending depositions, drafting and reviewing discovery requests and responses, investigating claims, attending hearings and, potentially, trials.

Duties:
- Conduct comprehensive legal research using tools such as Westlaw to support case strategies and legal arguments.
- Draft, review, and revise legal documents including pleadings, contracts, memoranda, and correspondence with precision and clarity.
- Assist in preparing for trials, hearings, and negotiations by organizing case files and evidence.
- Support attorneys in managing client relationships by providing timely updates and clarifications on case developments.
- Participate in negotiations with opposing counsel or parties to achieve favorable resolutions.
- Maintain accurate records of case progress, correspondence, and administrative documentation within the law office management system.
Skills:
- Proficiency with legal research platforms such as LexisNexis and Westlaw to efficiently locate relevant statutes and case law.
- Excellent writing skills with the ability to produce clear and persuasive legal documents.
- Effective negotiation skills to advocate for clients' interests confidently.
- Demonstrated experience in legal drafting and administrative tasks within a busy law office environment.
- Ability to analyze complex legal issues critically and develop strategic solutions.
- Familiarity with legal research techniques and tools essential for supporting case preparation.
