We are seeking a motivated Associate Attorney who is ready to take ownership of cases, grow professionally, and contribute to a collaborative team environment.

Christensen Law (www.ccplawyers.com), a Salt Lake City law firm engaged in family and general civil practice, seeks to hire a full-time associate attorney. Pay range is $80,000 to $125,000, depending on qualifications and experience.

Job Description/Expectations:
  • Oversee cases and work with lead attorney as needed, depending on case and preference (mentoring and independence available, as preferred)
  • Prepare and draft legal documents on behalf of clients
  • Review/analyze discovery; propound discovery requests
  • Work on hearing and trial preparation
  • Represent clients in court and at mediation.
  • Comply with all legal stands and regulations.
  • Pitch in with other cases as needed
  • Bill an average of 140 hours per month

Qualifications:
  • Bar licensed with five plus years experience
  • Familiarity with various pleading documents
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Ability to build a rapport with clients
  • Excellent understanding of deadlines and timeframes
  • Excellent research and writing and verbal communication skills
  • Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
  • Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience drafting pleadings, motions, discovery, and legal correspondence
  • Comfortable appearing in court hearings, mediations, and negotiations
  • Strong organizational and case management abilities
  • Proficiency with legal software and Microsoft Office Suite

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience using case management systems such as Clio Manage
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with a team
  • Strong billing judgment and time-management skills
  • Client-focused mindset with professionalism and empathy
  • Experience handling high-conflict or complex family law matters
  • Spanish-speaking abilities are a plus
