Description:
Divorce and Family Law Attorneys, a Salt Lake City law firm engaged in family and general civil practice, seeks to hire a full-time associate attorney. Pay range is $80,000 to $115,000, depending on qualifications and experience. Applications should include at least a resume.Job Description/Expectations:
- Oversee cases and work with lead attorney as needed, depending on case and preference (mentoring and independence available, as preferred)
- Prepare and draft legal documents on behalf of clients
- Review/analyze discovery; propound discovery requests
- Work on hearing and trial preparation
- Represent clients in court and at mediation.
- Comply with all legal stands and regulations.
- Pitch in with other cases as needed
- Bill an average of 140 hours per month
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in law or just passed the bar
- Familiarity with various pleading documents
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Ability to build a rapport with clients
- Excellent understanding of deadlines and timeframes
- Excellent research and writing and verbal communication skills
