Donnell, Melgoza & Scates LLP is a busy, growing, five-attorney law firm in Rocklin with an excellent reputation. We recognize the importance of a healthy work/life balance, and are seeking to hire a full-time Associate Attorney. We are a defense firm focused on providing superior legal representation to employers who contest citations issued by Cal/OSHA and Fed/OSHA, and representing employers in defense of Serious and Willful Misconduct claims filed with the Workers' Compensation Appeals Board.Previous litigation experience (1+ years), including litigation of Workers' Compensation claims and/or civil cases, would be a plus, but is not required. We are prepared to make an investment in professional growth with extensive training to our new attorney. We are looking for a long-term addition to our team, and are interested in candidates with accomplishments outside of the practice of law.
The ideal candidate would either have litigation experience or have the motivation and ambition to develop exceptional litigation skills. Our new attorney will represent clients throughout the course of litigation; assist clients with regulatory compliance issues; be skilled at written and verbal communication; prepare and respond to written motions, discovery requests, and post-trial briefs; effectively manage their time and meet due dates; assume increasing levels of responsibility; travel occasionally as case assignments warrant; and is seeking a long-term career at a firm with excellent growth opportunity. All candidates must be licensed to practice law in the State of California.
Compensation is salary plus bonus, along with the following benefits:

Salary Range: $120,000 - $150,000 (negotiable, based on experience)
