Job Summary:Campbell Trohn Tamayo & Aranda PA, an established litigation law firm in Lakeland, Florida is seeking an associate lawyer with 3-5 years' experience. This role requires excellent legal research skills and the ability to litigate effectively on behalf of our clients. The Associate Attorney will work closely with senior attorneys to provide comprehensive legal services and support.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough legal research using tools such as Westlaw to support case preparation and strategy development.
- Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs, and manage discovery production.
- Attend depositions, hearings and trials.
- Collaborate with senior attorneys on complex cases, providing insights and recommendations based on research findings.
- Maintain organized case files and documentation to ensure compliance with legal standards and deadlines.
- Assist in client consultations, providing clear explanations of legal rights and options.
- Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations relevant to practice areas.
Requirements:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the state bar and eligibility to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction.
- Proficiency in legal research tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
- Prior experience in litigation or relevant internships is a plus but not mandatory.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $100,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
