A Dallas Immigration Lawyer is seeking an Associate with a minimum 2 years of personal injury experience. We litigate and try Plaintiff's personal injury and medical negligence cases on our unique and challenging docket. If you do not have experience in Plaintiff's torts / personal injury, you are discouraged from applying, if you have just passed the Bar and this field interests you, you are encouraged to apply. This is a litigation law firm, the amount of time (hours) required to aggressively advocate for our clients and obtain great results, is the amount of time that will be put in. As a small firm, everything is a team effort and we don't do excuses. This is hit the ground running opportunity.Responsibilities:
- Review and analyze case files for potential settlement and / or trial preparation, including making demand and engaging in negotiations.
- Discovery engagement - analyzing responses, motions to compel, drafting unique requests, compiling responses, participating in and observing oral depositions.
- Pleadings engagement - draft legal documents from original petitions through motions to dismiss. We push a lot of cases against commercial insurance companies, their litigators often hire multiple experts, file motions for summary judgment and the like.
- Client engagement - Associate will be given their own docket of cases depending on experience.
- Court engagement - set, prepare for and attend hearings and trials.
- Our office also handles transactional immigration work, this is a small part of our practice that any team member will participate in and there is space to learn this field if desired.
