Responsibilities:
- Conduct in-depth client intakes with diverse tenants of various races and socio-economic backgrounds throughout the state.
- Draft clear, accurate legal documents, including pleadings, motions, mediation briefs, and trial documents.
- Support attorneys in preparing for hearings, trials, negotiations, and client meetings by organizing case files and evidence.
- Engage in negotiations with opposing counsel or parties to achieve favorable outcomes aligned with client interests.
- Maintain meticulous records of case developments, correspondence, and legal administrative tasks to ensure compliance and efficiency.
- Collaborate with clients to gather information, provide updates on case progress, and explain legal options clearly.
Requirements:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school with active bar admission in the relevant jurisdiction.
- Between two and five years of proven experience in civil litigation.
- Strong research skills utilizing LexisNexis and Westlaw platforms to gather relevant case law and legal precedents.
- Excellent writing skills with the ability to produce well-structured legal drafts that are clear and persuasive.
- Demonstrated experience in litigation processes, including discovery, motions practice, and trial preparation.
- Familiarity with legal administrative procedures and maintaining detailed case records efficiently.
- Ability to negotiate effectively while maintaining professionalism under pressure.
Pay: $120,000.00 - $165,000.00 per year
