Immediate opening for an associate position for a small boutique plaintiff-side civil litigation firm. Applicant must have a demonstrated passion for social justice. - Litigate cases in court and represent clients in legal proceedings
- Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs
- Conduct legal research and analysis to support case strategy
- Draft discovery, respond to discovery, and engage in motion practice
- Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and other parties involved in the case
- Attend court hearings, depositions, mediations, and other legal proceedings
- Provide legal advice and guidance to clients
Minimum Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
- Admission to the State Bar
Preferred Experience:
- 2-5 years of previous experience working as an associate attorney or in a similar legal role
- Strong knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and legal procedures
- Excellent research, writing, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple cases simultaneously
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
