Job Description:The San Francisco office of McGuireWoods seeks an Associate to join its Financial Services and Securities Enforcement Department.
The cornerstone of McGuireWoods' financial services litigation group is the team's ability to effectively represent the interests of the vital, growing and increasingly complex financial services sector. This includes high-stakes, multimillion-dollar class actions and other complex litigation. Matters include nationwide consumer class actions involving millions of class members, California-wide cases alleging unfair competition, fraud, violation of various consumer protection statutes, complex Ponzi-scheme matters brought against financial institutions, and the rapidly evolving landscape of mass arbitrations. The firm also represents banks and financial institutions in commercial claims such as foreclosure actions, breach of contract, fiduciary claims, and bank defense matters.

Salary: $310,000 - 390,000
Job Requirements:
Qualified candidates will have 4-6 years of relevant experience in a top 100 law firm setting to include:
- Experience with class actions and complex commercial litigation
- Practical, hands-on experience covering the full cycle of civil litigation
- Experience managing or mentoring junior associates a plus
- Clerkship experience a plus
- Candidates should possess strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with client, business, and legal teams.
- Must have a strong academic record, excellent writing, and oral communication skills.
- California Bar is required.
