Description:
Position Summary:We're seeking an attorney to build and run our family law and criminal defense caseload, with capacity to take on a limited volume of removal defense matters (bond hearings, master calendar appearances, straightforward filings) as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Manage full family law caseload: divorce, custody, support, protection orders
- Handle criminal defense matters: arraignments, pretrial motions, plea negotiations, trial as needed
- Represent clients in a supporting capacity on removal defense matters — bond/detention hearings, master calendar hearings, and related filings, under attorney supervision as needed
- Maintain regular court appearances across Hamilton County and surrounding jurisdictions
- Client intake, case strategy, and direct client communication
- Coordinate with firm principals on cross-referred matters (e.g., a family law client with an immigration issue, or a criminal matter with immigration consequences)
- Over time, develop and grow an independent client base within family law and criminal defense — the firm will provide marketing support toward this goal
Requirements:
- Licensed to practice law in Ohio (required)
- Russian language proficiency (required)
- Licensed to practice law in Kentucky (advantage)
