- Prepare and file legal motions, draft comprehensive legal documents, and develop case strategies aligned with best practices in criminal litigation.
- Engage in client consultations to gather case details, explain legal options clearly, and maintain open communication throughout the legal process.
- Negotiate plea agreements, and prepare for trial by organizing evidence and coordinating with witnesses.
- Stay current on developments in criminal law, including updates in federal, state, and emerging legal trends affecting defense strategies.
Experience:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school and admission to the state bar are required.
- 1-2 years experience practicing criminal law.
- Familiarity with legal research platforms such as LexisNexis and Westlaw is essential for effective case preparation.
- Strong negotiation skills with experience in plea bargaining or settlement discussions.
- Knowledge of procedural law, statutory research methods, and legal drafting techniques necessary for effective case management.
