Description:
Position Summary:The Associate Attorney will handle a docket of family law and civil litigation matters, including divorce, custody, property division, and general civil disputes. This role requires courtroom advocacy, strong legal writing, client management, and collaboration with senior attorneys and support staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Represent clients in family and civil matters, from intake through final disposition.
- Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, settlement agreements, and other legal documents.
- Conduct legal research and case analysis to develop strategies.
- Attend and advocate at hearings, mediations, depositions, and trials.
- Maintain proactive and professional communication with clients.
- Ensure accurate documentation of case files and deadlines.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
- Active license to practice law in Texas.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in family law and/or civil litigation preferred (strong candidates with less experience will be considered).
- Exceptional research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
- Strong interpersonal and organizational abilities.
- Self-motivated with the ability to manage a full caseload.
