Description:

A well-established insurance defense firm is seeking a seasoned Coverage Attorney to join our team. This role is designed for attorneys with substantial experience in insurance coverage analysis and litigation, offering the opportunity to work on complex, high-exposure matters in a collaborative and professional environment.

This position provides significant responsibility, direct client interaction, and the ability to advise on sophisticated coverage issues across a range of policies and claims.

Responsibilities:

Analyze and interpret insurance policies, including drafting detailed coverage opinions
Provide strategic guidance to carriers on coverage positions and risk exposure
Handle coverage litigation from inception through resolution, including declaratory judgment actions
Draft and argue dispositive motions
Conduct and defend depositions, including expert witnesses where applicable
Participate in mediations, arbitrations, and settlement negotiations
Maintain regular communication with insurance clients and provide comprehensive reporting

Qualifications:

Significant experience in insurance coverage (required)
Strong background in coverage analysis, policy interpretation, and related litigation
Admitted to practice in New York and/or New Jersey
Demonstrated experience handling complex coverage matters independently
Excellent writing, analytical, and legal research skills
Strong litigation, deposition, and motion practice experience
