The Position:We are looking for an experienced attorney to join our St. George office, with a primary focus on collections and related litigation.
The ideal candidate will have experience with HOA collections, creditor/debtor matters, real estate, or civil litigation. Experience with community association law is a plus.
This position offers the opportunity to handle collections matters from initial demand through litigation and resolution, while also working on related HOA, real estate, and litigation matters.
What You'll Do:
- Manage and litigate HOA and other collection matters
- Advise clients regarding collection strategies and legal options
- Handle collection litigation, including pleadings, discovery, depositions, mediation, and court appearances
- Advise HOAs on collections, enforcement, governance, and compliance
- Draft pleadings, motions, contracts, and other legal documents
- Communicate directly with clients, opposing counsel, courts, and other parties
- Manage a caseload independently and efficiently
- Conduct legal research and stay current on relevant law
What We're Looking For:
- J.D. from an accredited law school
- Active member of the Utah State Bar
- Experience in collections, litigation, real estate, or HOA law preferred
- Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
- Strong oral advocacy and communication skills
- Ability to manage a high-volume caseload independently
- Practical, solution-oriented approach to client representation
