Job Overview:
APA I-III– Assistant prosecutors work under the general supervision of the Prosecuting Attorney and Chief Assistant Prosecutor. The role of Assistant Prosecutor in Cass County offers an exciting and satisfying opportunity to pursue justice in the appealing environment of southwest Michigan. Assistant prosecutors work as a team to handle a wide variety of other matters. Immediate opportunities include assisting in the prosecution of serious assaults, robberies, conspiracy, racketeering, sex crimes and even murder cases. Other important duties include juvenile, abuse neglect, appellate, domestic violence and drunk driving cases.
Minimum Qualifications:
Requirements include Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school, licensed to practice law in the State of Michigan and member in good standing, of the State Bar of Michigan. We are seeking individuals with a passion for doing justice as well as protecting the public and victims of crime. Immediate opportunity to litigate and hone skills in courtroom.
