Job Summary:
Scope:
The Ohio Northern University Pettit College of Law seeks candidates for a full-time, entry-level, tenure-track law faculty position teaching courses in Contracts, Sales, and other business and commercial law courses. Qualified lateral candidates will also be considered. Candidates with experience as a practicing lawyer, judicial clerk, or law teacher are encouraged to apply.

Principal Responsibilities:
Expectations include a normal teaching load of four courses per year, scholarly research, publication, and service obligations for the 2026-2027 academic year.

Required Skills:
Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills are required, as is experience or interest in innovative teaching methodologies. The candidate must have a commitment to the holistic development of students. A willingness and potential to contribute to the research and service missions of the college and university are essential.

Minimum Qualifications:
Candidates must have a J.D. from an A.B.A.-accredited law school or equivalent degree from a foreign institution, a distinguished academic record, and a commitment to excellence in teaching and scholarship.
